Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

Montio is a video editor that runs entirely on your device. We built it so that your videos, photos, and audio never leave your iPhone, and so that we never see them.

The short version

Montio does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. Everything you import and edit stays on your device.

Information we collect

None. Montio has no servers that receive your data. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, device identifiers, usage analytics, or the content of your projects. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing for us to sell, share, or lose.

How your media is processed

All editing and AI features run on your device:

Permissions Montio asks for

Montio requests these permissions only to provide features you use, and only on your device. You can change any of them anytime in Settings → Montio.

Subscriptions and purchases

Montio offers an optional paid subscription (Montio Pro). Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Montio does not receive or store your payment information. Apple's terms and privacy policy govern the transaction, and you can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings.

Third parties

Montio includes no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. The only external service involved is Apple, which provides the operating-system features above and processes App Store purchases.

Children

Montio is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Montio handles data — for example, if a future version adds an optional feature that needs a server — we will update this page and the app's App Store privacy details in the same release, and revise the date above.
